How do I change my domain's nameservers?

To make it easier to get in touch with us, from the 24th of March 2016 all support tickets will need to be submitted from your Crucial Control Panel.

You can change the name server being used for a domain from the My Account area, to do this complete the following steps.

If your domain is not registered with Crucial you will need to contact your current Registrar to update the domain. You can use a whois tool to look up who your current Registrar is.

  1. Login to 'My Account'
  2. Once logged in, Under 'Domains' Select the domain you wish to edit

  3. Under 'Name Servers' click on 'Change'
If using Crucial's ensure you are using the correct Crucial Nameservers

  4. Enter in the details you wish to use, you can use Crucial's
  5. Click 'Change'
  6. The nameservers will now be updated

It may take up to 24 hours for this change to propagate globally, you can verify the change using a whois tool.

If there are any issues with updating this information, make sure your Registrar Lock is not activated.
