How do I add or remove an IP address on my Barebones VPS?

To make it easier to get in touch with us, from the 24th of March 2016 all support tickets will need to be submitted from your Crucial Control Panel.

If you want to add or remove an IP address on your Barebones VPS you will need to upgrade the Barebones VPS in the My Account area. To do this complete the following steps.

  1. Login to 'My Account'
  2. Once logged in, under 'My Services' select the server you wish to change

  3. Click on the blue gear icon for IP address you wish to add under 'Configurable Options' on the right hand side. The choices are as follows:
    • 'Internet IP Address' - Public IPv4 address
    • 'Shared Network Address' - Private network address
    • 'Internet IPv6 Address' - Public IPv6 address

  4. Select the total number of IP addresses you want to have in the drop-down box and click the blue 'Proceed' button (If you want to remove an IP address select a lower number of IPs then you have currently)

  5. Select a Payment Method and click 'Continue'

  6. You will now see an order confirmation screen
  7. You will then be issued an invoice for the upgrade, the upgrade will take effect once the invoice is paid (If you are removing an IP address this screen will not show)
