How do I disable SSLv3 in Litespeed?

To make it easier to get in touch with us, from the 24th of March 2016 all support tickets will need to be submitted from your Crucial Control Panel.

The way to disable SSLv3 in Litespeed depends on whether you are using it with any additional webservers.

Centos 5, 6 and 7 + Fedora + Debian + Ubuntu + Cloudlinux

  1. Connect to the server using SSH
  2. Run the following command to update Litespeed
    /usr/local/lsws/admin/misc/lsup.sh -f -v 4.2.18

Centos 5, 6 and 7 + Fedora + Cloudlinux (With cPanel, Litespeed + Apache)

  1. Connect to the server using SSH
  2. Run the following command to update Litespeed
    /usr/local/lsws/admin/misc/lsup.sh -f -v 4.2.18

  3. Access WHM by browsing to the link sent in your welcome email
  4. Login using the details provided in the welcome email
  5. You will now see the home screen of WHM
  6. The quickest way to bring up the correct page is to search for 'apache' in the search bar
  7. Click on 'Apache Configuration'
  8. Select 'Include Editor'
  9. Under 'Pre Main Include' select 'All Versions' from the drop down
  10. Add the following lines to the text entry box that appears
    SSLHonorCipherOrder On
    SSLProtocol -All +TLSv1

  11. Click 'Update'
