What are the basic email settings for Crucial?

To make it easier to get in touch with us, from the 24th of March 2016 all support tickets will need to be submitted from your Crucial Control Panel.

If you are not able to find any specific guides for your email client or just need the generic settings, you can use the following as a guide.

Please note that the name of the server will vary from service to service.

SSL (Secured)

  • Incoming Mail Server: Name of Server (This can be found in cPanel's Mail Accounts settings)
  • Mailbox Type: IMAP or POP
  • Incoming Port Number: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP)
  • SSL: On
  • User Name: Full email Address
  • Password: Mailbox Password

 

  • Outgoing Mail Server: Name of Server (This can be found in cPanel's Mail Accounts settings)
  • Outgoing Port Number: 465
  • SSL: On
  • Authentications: Enabled (use same details as incoming server)

 

Non-SSL (Insecure)

  • Incoming Mail Server: mail.domain.name
  • Mailbox Type: IMAP or POP
  • Incoming Port Number: 143 (IMAP) or 110 (POP)
  • SSL: Off
  • User Name: Full email Address
  • Password: Mailbox Password

 

  • Outgoing Mail Server: mail.domain.name
  • Outgoing Port Number: 587
    • You can also use 25 and if you are on Website or Reseller hosting, you can also use 26
  • SSL: Off
  • Authentications: Enabled (use same details as incoming server)
